Business Analyst of Retail Analytics
The Business Systems Analyst of Retail Analytics serves as a liaison between retail merchandising team and IT in order to provide information and reporting functionality to meet user needs. The role of the BSA is to build, demonstrate, and maintain a detailed knowledge of the business functions, processes and controls relevant to Data Warehouse and reporting. The BA must maintain a familiarity with current issues, objectives, and strategies of the business and recognize issues and opportunities to optimally apply technology to enhance existing or build new business capabilities.
*Note must have retail experience to be considered. If applicants do not have relevant retail and merchandising experience they will not be considered for the opportunity.*
Retail Business Analyst
SAS and/or SAS Planning
Merchandising, Stock Ledger, RMS and Product Information Management (PIM)
Business Intelligence – MicroStrategy experience preferable but Cognos, Teradata or other BI analytics reporting tool experience will suffice.
Traditional functional Business Analysts duites:
Defining and documenting requirements
Designing test review
Some end user issue resolution
Strong team player
3-5 years of experience with systems development methodologies, definition, systems design and systems testing
Demonstrated leadership experience with IT projects serving as a business analyst or related role.
2 years of experience in a structured project management environment with a demonstrated appreciation for disciplined project management
Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills.
Experience with relational databases and familiarity with SQL
Ability to think on both broad and detailed levels
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Strong presentation skills
High tolerance for ambiguity matched with desire to organize it
